Core Values

What matters to you — and what is actually driving your choices?

Core Values is a standalone diagnostic. The values we say we hold and the values expressed through our behaviour are not always the same.

It is available now at its own address, and can be taken on its own.

Four questions to sit with.

01

What you say you value

The values you would name if asked. Often accurate, often aspirational, and worth writing down before anything else.

02

What your behaviour expresses

Where time, attention, money and energy actually go. Behaviour is the more reliable record.

03

Where the value came from

Some values were chosen. Others were absorbed from family, culture, institutions or a much earlier version of yourself.

04

What it costs and protects

Every held value organises a life around itself. Noticing what it makes possible — and what it quietly excludes — is where the work is.

A value examined is not the same as a value abandoned.

The aim is not to replace your values with better ones. It is to know which ones you are actually living from, and whether you would choose them again now.
